Cable-in-conduit (CIC) saves you time by providing you with power and telecommunication cables already installed within the conduit. Save labor and time by removing the lengthy task of pulling wire through the conduit once it has been installed underground.
CIC Fiber/Cable Options
Fiber Optic Cable
Fiber is pre-installed in the finished reel, eliminating the need to pull or jet in the fiber.
- Normal Condiut Size: 1” or 1.25”
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling
- Applications: Wind farms
Coax
Both Hardline and Service Drop CIC is available.
- Normal Condiut Size: 13mm through 1.25” conduit is typical.
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling
MicroDuct
CIC MicroDucts are small ducts, (8.5mm – 12.7mm in Diameter) with a pre-installed Fiber Cable
- Applications: MDU and FTTX Installations
Medium Voltage
Available in 15KV, 25KV, or 35KV. Full Neutral and 1/3 Neutral Cables are available. Special copper medium voltage cables are available.
- Normal Condiut Size: 2” and 2 1/2”
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling
- Applications: Residential and commercial
600V Copper
HDPE conduit system with a wide variety of 600 Volt Copper cables pre-installed in the finished continuous length reel, eliminating the need to pull in the Cables. Special higher voltage cables are available for airport lighting and other applications. A wide variety of Cable types are available with XLP/USE and XHHW the most common.
- Normal Condiut Size: 1” to 2” are typical.
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling
- Applications: Commercial and DOT applications for lighting, control or power
600V Aluminum
HDPE conduit system with a wide variety of 600 Volt cables pre-installed Three or Four wire applications are typical. For residential use, Sweetbriar or Wesleyan configurations are typical.
- Normal Condiut Size: 2” or 2.5”
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling
- Applications: Commercial, agricultural and residential
Service Drops
Twisted pair, RG Coax, or aerial aluminum service drop pre-installed in the finished reel or coil, eliminating the need to place the service drop in the conduit.
- Installation: Open trench, plowing or directional drilling.
- Applications: Cable runs from the curb or transformer to the house

Fiber optic cable and medium voltage cable are installed along with wiring ranging from 16 gauge to a 750 mcm. When ordering HDPE cable in conduit, the exact size and length must be known for installation as cutting post-installation is not possible.
Typical applications include airport and street light wiring, wind farm, fiber optics, industrial, security systems, telecommunication cables, and control systems for irrigation systems and utilities.
