DCD00505-035 Line Swivel:
Line swivels are designed to allow cable to unwind during a cable installation.
Placed between the utility being installed and the pull line, the line swivel relieves strain which would have been placed on the puller.
The tension that builds up from pulling the cable tight and its (the cable) desire to unwind provides the necessity for using a line swivel such as our 00505 series.
These swivels are not suitable for directional drilling applications.
